About Us

Rangemoors – The Flue and Chimney Specialists is a division of Rangemoors Ltd. Also part of Rangemoors Ltd are the complementary businesses Rangemoors – The Stove and Cooker Specialists and Rangemoors – The Stove and Cooker Spares Specialists.

Founded in the early 1970’s, South West Woodburning Centre (as originally named) was involved in the introduction of woodburning appliances to the UK from its infancy. The concept of wood and solid fuel heating appliances captured the heart of everyone who tried it in the early days.

From small beginnings, Rangemoors – The Stove and Cooker Specialists rose with the swift expansion of this new and exciting market. Many European/Scandinavian brands soon established the foundation blocks of what is now a significant contribution to the heating trade. As with any ambitious business, it became clear that opportunities were available to explore related stove and cooker products.

This thinking resulted in the conception of Rangemoors – The Flue and Chimney Specialists. It was apparent the specialist chimney products were available and following the example of our European counterparts, should be specified in order for customers to enjoy the full potential and safe operation of wood/solid fuel fired products.

A natural progression was the introduction of the third part of the group, Rangemoors – The Stove and Cooker Spares Specialists, dedicated to the supply of a multitude of heating equipment spare parts. Again concerning itself with the fact that within the life of any stove or cooker, there will probably be spare part requirements. All three parts of our business group aims to serve both the TRADE and RETAIL Sectors of the market. It has been over 30 years since our trade established itself in the mainstream, growing in volume and confidence, the wood and solid fuel industry has carved a strong position within the heating marketplace.

And to the year of 2004, the culmination of many years hard work, established our group of companies to be one of the leaders in the marketplace. Our three companies are under one roof, in our new showroom and offices situated on the airfield at Winkleigh where we are able to offer the complete service to all our customers whilst they walk around our eco-friendly showroom and view the outstanding range of stoves and cookers we have to offer.
